Annual General Meeting

The Big Country Soccer Association (BCSA) is committed to fostering a transparent and inclusive environment where members can actively participate in shaping the future of our organization. Our annual elections are a cornerstone of this commitment, providing an opportunity for dedicated individuals to step into leadership roles and contribute to the growth and success of our soccer community.​

Agenda

The Annual General Meeting will include key updates from BCSA leadership, officer elections, proposed bylaw amendments, and a discussion regarding a potential merger with Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA). All member teams are encouraged to attend and participate. Your voice and vote help shape the future of soccer in the Big Country.

Proposed Bylaw Amendments

As part of this year’s AGM, BCSA members will vote on a set of proposed bylaw amendments. These include updates for legal compliance, clarification of league rules, and the formal adoption of standardized 5v5 gameplay regulations. A full summary of the proposed changes is available for review prior to the meeting.

Elections will be conducted for the following Board positions:​

  • Treasurer
  • Secretary​

Nominations were accepted up to April 23, 2025.

Eligibility

According to BCSA’s Constitution, any adult member in good standing who adheres to the Association’s Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations is eligible to serve on the Board. This includes coaches, team representatives, and other active members of the Association.​

Voting

Voting rights are extended to:​

  • Members of the Board of Directors
  • Authorized representatives of each team within the Association​

Each team is entitled to one vote, typically cast by the head coach or a designated team representative.​

Proxy Voting Authorization

If a team’s coach or designated representative cannot attend the AGM, they may authorize a proxy to vote on their behalf using the official BCSA Proxy Voting Authorization Form. Only one proxy vote per team is permitted. Completed forms must be submitted at or before check-in on April 30, 2025.

Importance of Participation

Active participation in the election process is vital for the continued success and integrity of BCSA. By voting and considering a role on the Board, members help ensure that the Association remains responsive to the needs of our community and continues to provide a positive environment for all participants.​
