Coaches and Team Managers

As of 2025, all league operations formerly managed by Big Country Soccer Association (BCSA) are now operated through the Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA). AYSA Soccer continues BCSA’s commitment to developing players, supporting volunteers, and ensuring a positive experience for every team across the Big Country. All coaches, assistant coaches and team managers must register in GotSport as a coach or team manager role. These roles are required to participate in a background check and a SafeSport training module each calendar year to ensure compliance with NTSSA and its insurance provider’s requirements.

Our Coaching Philosophy

We believe coaching youth soccer is about more than teaching skills — it’s about building confidence, respect, and teamwork.

AYSA Soccer coaches play a vital role in carrying forward the proud tradition of Big Country Soccer by helping every player Play, Learn, Grow, and Respect.

Coach Registration & Compliance

All head coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers must register in GotSport under their respective roles.
Registration ensures compliance with North Texas Soccer Association (NTX) and U.S. Soccer safety and training requirements.

Each coach must complete the following every calendar year:

  • Background Check (via GotSport)
  • SafeSport Training (required for all adults interacting with players)

Where We Play
