Through a strong partnership with the North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA) and U.S. Soccer, Big Country Soccer Association is proud to offer high-quality referee education and opportunities for aspiring officials. Together, we are committed to developing referees at all levels, from youth games to elite competitions.

Referee Requirements
- Must be 13 years or older (per NTSSA requirements).

Referee Registration Process
Step 1: Complete Training
- Attend an in-person referee certification class
- Register for a class using the NTSSA referee portal
- Participate in a hands-on clinic to gain practical experience on the field.
- Certification is conducted through the North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA).
Step 2: Register as a Referee
- Visit the NTSSA referee portal to register and complete the certification process.
- Pay the registration fee required by NTSSA (details available on their website).
Step 3: Get Game Assignments
Once certified, you’ll receive access to the Big Country Soccer Association’s scheduling system to select games based on your availability.
Upcoming Training Opportunities

Hands-On Clinic: A required on-field training session to prepare for real-game scenarios.
Compensation
Referees are paid based on the age group and level of the games officiated. Competitive rates ensure that your time and expertise are valued. Details about game pay rates will be provided during training.
